Slovakia Fails to Win a Bronze medal

The Slovak National Ice-hockey team lost 5:3 to Finland in the match for bronze and finished fourth. In its last performance at the Olympic tournament, Slovakia was up by 2 goals before entering the third period, but Finland rallied back and scored 4 unanswered goals to secure the bronze medal. For Slovakia, 4th place is historically the best result at the Winter Olympic Games.

Cabinet Approves Short-term Structural Measures

At its session on Wednesday, the Cabinet approved a proposal of short-term structural measures, which should be implemented until the end of this year. There are about forty measures aimed at increasing employment and reducing social risks, improving health condition of citizens, the fight against corruption, an improvement of the business environment and better education.
